Here's the truth about floor coatings that DIY kits don't tell you: the coating is only as good as its bond to the concrete, and that bond is created by proper surface preparation. A coating applied over unprepped, sealed, or dirty concrete — or 'prepped' with a weak acid etch — peels, bubbles, and fails, especially under hot tires and heavy use. That's the number one reason coatings fail. We mechanically prepare the concrete — diamond grinding or shot-blasting to open and profile the surface — and repair the cracks, pits, and damage first.
